Problem of Practice
One of our practical based learning experiences was our Problem of Practice. For this project we had to look at an intervention/program we created or existed within our residency schools. From there we were to create a logic model to help us evaluate the effectiveness of the program towards its intended result. This was then followed up by collecting data and a detailed analysis of our findings. The final product was an Ignite presentation and academic poster with our data and findings. For my problem of practice I decided to look at a program that is being implemented across the district at the K-2 level. This program is called Letterland and its desired result is to improve the reading abilities of our early readers through an engaging curriculum. My focus was on how well it was being implemented in kindergarten and first grade classrooms within my school. To include if it was having a positive impact on student's MClass diagnostic data.
